Local Chapter Information Desk

1. I acknowledge that as a Chapter Leader, I may obtain access to confidential information including but not limited to specialized and proprietary knowledge, information, customer lists, and other data (“Confidential Information”), and that development of the Confidential Information reflects a considerable effort on the part of skilled professionals and the investment of considerable time and money, and that disclosure of any of such Confidential Information would substantially injure APHON.

2. I acknowledge I have read APHON’s Privacy Policy and will bring forth any questions or concerns to APHON staff.

3. In consideration of APHON’s disclosing Confidential Information to me, I agree to maintain in confidence any such Confidential Information. I acknowledge that private membership information (names, addresses, emails, phone numbers, etc.) may not be shared with others or placed on public drives such as Google or Dropbox. When maintaining APHON confidential files, I will ensure that proper security is applied and if there is a data breach on my personal system where APHON data is stored, I will notify APHON staff.

4. I agree to take such precautions as may be necessary to maintain such Confidential Information confidential and secret, and not to use it, or authorize use of it, for my own or a third party’s purposes or to disclose or authorize disclosure of such Confidential Information to any third party without APHON’s prior written permission.

5. I understand that information that (a) is in my possession before receipt of any Confidential Information, (b) lawfully becomes part of the public knowledge or literature, or (c) otherwise lawfully becomes available to me from sources other than APHON, is not subject to this agreement.

6. I agree that the Confidential Information is the exclusive property of APHON, its successors and assigns, and I agree to shred or delete, at the end of my Term, all documents and materials which have been furnished to me by APHON and contain Confidential Information.
