Learning Outcomes:
Upon completion of this activity, the learner will be able to:
- To describe the psychological impact of a cancer diagnosis on the mental health of the adolescent and young adult (AYA) population.
- To discuss how fear of cancer recurrence (FCR) impacts mental health in the AYA population.
- To discuss what the finding suggests for improving illness perception.
- To identify how the overall illness perceptions predict depression and anxiety.
Credits
Upon successful completion of this course, nurses will earn 1 CNE. There are no pharmacology hours associated with this activity.
